Named Virginia’s State Quality Dealer

At the 2021 VIADA Convention, Andrew Wiley was honored as the Virginia State Quality Dealer of the Year—the highest distinction awarded by the Virginia Independent Automobile Dealers Association. This award is given to a dealer who exemplifies outstanding service to their customers, their employees, and their local community. Pictured with his parents who helped him open CAW more than 20 years ago, this moment celebrated not just an individual achievement, but a legacy of excellence and heart.

Test Drive for Downtown

In the wake of the devastating flash flooding that hit Staunton in August 2020, we wanted to find a way to support our neighbors and help local businesses recover.

That’s how Test Drive for Downtown was born. For every test drive taken in September, participants received a $10 gift card to a downtown Staunton business—and we donated $10 to the Staunton Flood Recovery Fund to aid in rebuilding efforts.

Downtown Staunton holds a special place in our hearts, and we were honored to be part of a movement to restore what was lost and show our community the strength of coming together. 💙

#1 Independent Dealer Plate

If you spotted the coveted #1 Independent Dealer plate around Staunton—it’s because our owner, Andrew Wiley, earned it during his term as President of VIADA. In addition to leading the Virginia association, Andrew also served on the National Independent Automobile Dealers Association Board of Trustees and was recognized as a Certified Master Dealer. The plate may say #1—but to us, it represents a commitment to doing things the right way: with honesty, fairness, and a whole lot of heart.

CAW Cares: Supporting Our Local Schools

At Consumers Auto Warehouse, we believe strong communities start with strong schools. That’s why we’ve made it a priority to show up for Staunton City Schools and the surrounding districts in every way we can.

Over the past year, we've proudly organized and participated in a variety of initiatives, including:

• School Supply Drives: From Kleenex to crayons, we’ve collected hundreds of essential items for local classrooms. Thanks to generous customers (including one anonymous donor who dropped off over 100 boxes of crayons!), our supply drives have been a huge success year after year.
• Teacher Appreciation & PTA Support: We’ve donated directly to local PTAs, provided oil changes for teachers, and even turned Super Bowl contests into fundraising opportunities for class trips.
• Special Events with Kona Ice: Our summer supply drive featured free Kona Ice for donors and prize giveaways, creating a fun and festive way to support teachers while treating the community.
• Community Sponsorships: We’ve cheered on students by sponsoring local sports programs and showing love to organizations like Shelburne Middle School and Staunton High School.
• Partnerships with Groups Like Young Life: Whether it's helping with a golf tournament or showing up in small ways, we’re honored to support youth ministries that invest in kids.
• Shelburne Lunch Giveaway: In partnership with Jersey Mike’s, we fed both of our teams and helped raise money for the middle school PTA—because full bellies fuel big hearts

We’re incredibly grateful for every thank-you note, every smile, and every chance to give back. Being recognized by Staunton City Schools as part of the Business Honor Roll was just the icing on the cake.

National Family & Community Day

In celebration of National Family & Community Day, Consumers Auto Warehouse opened our doors for a day of connection, education, and fun! Local organizations joined us to share resources and giveaways, and guests enjoyed refreshments while learning more about community services available right here in the Valley.

From family outreach and health resources to local businesses and nonprofit spotlights, the event gave us a chance to support one another and build stronger community bonds—one table (and cookie!) at a time.

Donation Drives: Giving Back Year-Round

At Consumers Auto Warehouse, we believe in showing up for our community in meaningful ways—especially when it comes to helping those in need. Throughout the year, we host a variety of donation drives supporting causes close to our hearts.

From collecting non-perishable food for local food banks and cancer centers, to gathering baby items and supplies for mission trips, to organizing stuffed animal drives for the Valley Children’s Advocacy Center—we’re always looking for ways to make an impact. Whether it’s filling a barrel with canned goods or a box with soft, comforting toys, our team and customers never hesitate to pitch in.

Every item donated represents kindness in action—and we’re proud to help turn compassion into support for those who need it most.

❤️ Fill the Center with Love – Valentine’s Card Drive

In February, our team launched the “Fill the Center with Love” initiative to spread joy to children and families supported by the Valley Children’s Advocacy Center. We set up a Valentine’s card station at the dealership and invited our customers, community members, and even local classrooms to get involved.

And wow—did they ever! From Nelson County High School to Woodland Early Life Learning Center to Westwood Hills Elementary, students of all ages poured their hearts into handmade cards filled with encouragement, love, and hope.

We were overwhelmed by the response and honored to deliver so many sweet messages to the center. A huge thank you to all who helped us show these families how much our community cares. 💌💕

CAW Cares: Holiday Giving Tradition

Every holiday season, the team at Consumers Auto Warehouse comes together to brighten Christmas for local families in need. What started as a simple act of kindness has grown into a heartfelt tradition. Our staff and their families volunteer their time and spend their own money to shop for gifts, wrap presents, and deliver joy to children and seniors throughout Staunton, Waynesboro, Augusta County, and beyond.

Over the years, we’ve partnered with organizations like Augusta County Social Services and supported local Angel Tree programs to adopt multiple families each season. The wish lists we receive are often humbling—requests for basic necessities like coats, pants, pull-ups, and winter boots. And yet, every year, our crew goes above and beyond to make sure those families not only get what they need, but also feel the magic of the season.

We don’t do it for recognition—we do it because we care. And we’ll continue showing up for our community, one wrapped present at a time. 🎄❤️

🎅 Letters to Santa

In 2024, Consumers Auto Warehouse launched a brand-new tradition—and it quickly became one of our favorites! We set up a magical North Pole mailbox at the dealership and invited local kids to drop off their letters to Santa.

Every child who included a return address received a personalized letter back from Santa himself—signed, sealed, and straight from the North Pole!

It brought so many smiles and sweet moments, and we’re already looking forward to doing it again this year. Because a little magic goes a long way. 💌✨
